Once the henna tattoo has been applied it needs to be kept on for about 4 to 8 hours. If you keep the paste moist and warm a darker stain will be created. After about 4 to 8 hours you may scrap off the henna and apply either cocoa butter or olive oil to let the stain to darken. When you remove the paste for the first time the tattoo will look light orange in color. This light hue turns darker and darker as it is exposed to air. Henna tattoos mostly last for about 2 to 4 weeks depending on the location of its application, the skin type, etc.
